Description
Summary:This study aimed to investigate the emerging approaches of data analytics in the accounting curriculum of different researchers, universities, and higher education institutions (HEIs) and determine whether there is sufficient literature supporting its infusion to an accounting program in the Philippines. A semi-systematic literature review was conducted to determine and understand al significant researches that provide implications for the integration of data analytics in accounting. Based on the review, there is an adequate literature that support and facilitate the implementation of data analytics in the accounting program. There were three implementation methods that can be adopted: focused approach, integrated approach and hybrid approach. It is recommended that accounting schools in the Philippines should include data analytics in their accounting curriculum using any of the implementation methods.
