Description
Summary:This paper discusses the use of discrete event simulation in analyzing work force complement for an encoding center. The encoding center was modeled and sensitivity analysis was performed. Sensitivity analysis was done by varying the rate of arrival of transactions in the encoding center. In addition, a statistical analysis was also performed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) involving two factors. These factors are the number of encoders (C_NOE) and total number of batched transactions per day (N_O_B). Results showed that these two factors contribute significantly to the throughput of the systems.
