| Summary: | As the role of Quantity Surveying in the construction process becomes increasingly important, the influence and prestige of quantity surveyors also expanded. The Philippine construction industry is becoming more aware of the Quantity Surveying (Q.S.) Services. Most of the local projects that utilizes this service appreciated the role of the quantity surveyor in cost administration. Anticipating the demand for more Q.S. works, the academe must be prepared to supply civil engineering graduates that have advance idea of Q.S. works. It is with this objective that a training program for civil engineering students taking the practicum program was made. This paper presented the framework and program structure of the proposed Quatntiy Surveying training program for undergraduate civil engineering students. A challenge to develop further this program can be made to adopt the interest and level of understanding of the students. |
