Summary: | We developed a computer algorithm in classifying coastal marine habitats along the Manila Bay-Batangas Bay coastline using LANDSAT images. Two depth-invariant images were used to classify the habitats using the box, triangular, circular, and multishape classifier algorithm based from UN- ESCO Bilko Modules. While 6s code (Second Simulation of the Satellite Signal for Solar Spectrum) was adopted as an added feature for atmospheric correction. The multispectral classifier developed in this work has been validated in mapping out coastal marine habitats along the Manila Bay coastline up to the Batangas coast line using field mapped habitat survey of the Marine Science Institute. |
