Summary: | In the course having an integrated coastal management to avoid the extinction of the coastline habitats in the Philippines, a classification of coastal marine habitats in Manila Bay was done. Two depth-invariant images were used to classify the habitats using the UNESCO Bilko Modules on multispectral classification of coastline marine habitats and water column correction using the Bilko Software, and Second Simulation of the Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum for atmospheric correction. The result of the classification was validated using mapped habitats of the Marine Science Institute. It has been concluded that the method in multispectral classification of coastal marine habitats is applicable in the Philippines, and can be perform by a neophyte in integrated coastal management. |
