This material development report provides an extensive documentation on the preparation, organization, coordination, pilot testing and evaluation of the mental health first aid modules comprising Mental Health Literacy, Psychological First Aid, Handling students with mental illness and Mental Health First Aid Action Plan. These modules were developed in response to the identified training needs of the Student Discipline Formation Office and an initiative as part of intensifying visibility and collaboration of the assigned OCCS anchor counselor. These materials are developed with the intent of advancing capacity building efforts to strengthen mental health collaboration between OCCS and SDFO in extending mental health responsive services to SDFO students classified as respondents, complainants and witnesses. A pilot run of the mental health first aid workshop series was organized and based on the initial evaluation, the modules are given an excellent 4.72 overall rating based on the criteria of content, applicability to the nature and context of SDFO’s roles in mental health first response, structure, and resource speaker’s skills and manner of delivery. The researcher however recommends the use of MHFA pre-test and post- test survey questionnaires to measure outcomes relevant to mental health knowledge, skills, and attitude towards providing metal health first response to students. 2021-11-20T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/faculty_research/13202 Faculty Research Work Animo Repository De La Salle University (Philippines)—Students—Mental health services Mental health personnel—Training of Student Counseling and Personnel Services |
