Summary:The study is about the program outcomes of the College of Education and its implication to the identified characteristics of the participants in hiring teacher applicant SY 2021-2022. The qualitative descriptive design was used in the study and the data was analyzed using thematic analysis. A semi-structured interview was used to gather important data from seven participants during the in-depth interview. Findings of the study revealed that attitude of the teacher applicants play an important role to be able to be hired in schools in CALABARZON area. Among the attitude identified were ability to guide students in learning, reliable and enthusiastic, passionate, patient, well- groomed, punctual, responsible, dignified and desire to develop professionally. In terms of skills the participants identified communication skills, creativity and technological skills, and relationship skills while mastery of the subject matter and knowledge on the utilization of assessment tools were the knowledge that teacher applicants must possess. All the identified characteristics of the participants are congruent to the program outcomes stated in CMO No. 74 Series of 2017 Policies, Standards and Guidelines for Bachelor of Elementary Education which served as a basis in the development of the curriculum of Bachelor of Elementary Education of the department. Curriculum review, revision of course syllabi, seminars and trainings and further studies are recommended based on the findings of the study.
