An isopimarane diterpene from Cycas sancti-lasallei

Chemical investigation of the dichloromethane extract of the leaflets of Cycas sancti-lasallei, a plant endemic to the Philippines, led to the isolation of a new diterpene, 2α,18-dihydroxy-isopimara-7,15-diene(1). The structure of 1 was elucidated by extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy.
