Description
Summary:Coconut sugar is a palm sugar made from the sap of the flower bud stem of the coconut palm. It is one of the four major sectors in agriculture in the Philippines. The purpose of the machine is to design and prototype an automated vacuum packaging and sealing machine for coconut sugar. The first phase of the machine consists of an auger and hopper system which will house and control the flow of the coconut sugar. The second phase consists of a weighing mechanism, which makes use of a load cell. This is where the sugar will be transferred to the plastic bag before being moved to the final phase with the use of a conveyor. The final phase consists of the vacuum packaging system which will seal and vacuum package the sugar. © 2018 IEEE.
