الوصف
الملخص:The Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) is an assessment tool that has been translated into various languages for use with school-aged children in different cultures. The English form is used in the Philippines, but there is no published evidence on the CBCL’s structural validity when used with Filipino-English bilingual respondents. The study examined the factor structure of the CBCL DSM-oriented scales in a sample of schoolchildren using responses of their bilingual caregivers. Three competing factor models were investigated and confirmatory factor analyses showed that the six-factor model had the best fit. A multiple-indicators multiple-causes model also revealed some predictive relationships with age and gender. The results provided support for the structural validity of the English CBCL DSM-oriented scales when used by Filipino-English bilingual caregivers of Filipino school children. © 2018, © 2018 International School Psychology Association.
