In this work, preliminary results surveying cloud-based applications centering on centralized parking and insurance reporting by utilizing empirical mobility traces are presented. Mobility traces represent movements of future intelligent vehicles as they traverse an urban city. From the initial simulation findings, centralized smart parking is very feasible and will rely on whether the ITS will provide enough infrastructure to allow centralized requesting of parking slots. © 2020, World Academy of Research in Science and Engineering.
