Description
Summary:Running is one of the most efficient exercises to the human body. Performing running as an exercise strengthen muscles, helps build strong bones, helps maintain a healthy weight and improves cardiovascular fitness. Running exercise is not always possible to be performed outdoors. Some reasons are the weather is not permissible especially during winter or the person lives in an area where running outdoors is not possible. In performing treadmill exercise the speed and the distance must be balanced because overdoing the exercise may cause injury. Too much speed in long distances may cause damage to joints and muscles. This research introduces a mathematical treadmill exercise model using Fuzzy Logic and introduces a concept called the Treadmill Exercise Factor (TEF). The Treadmill Exercise Factor is an aspect that will guide the user to balance its treadmill activity in order to prevent injury and achieve an efficient workout. The Simulations of the Mathematical model in this research was performed using the Fuzzy Logic toolbox of MATLAB. © Research India Publications.
