Description
Summary:Shake tables or earthquake simulators are used extensively in seismic research especially in structural testing. They are used in verifying the earthquake performance by simulating the motions of earth ground. A typical shake table consists of the mechanical structure, the type of actuator to be used and the design of control system. In this paper, previous works in the design of shake table systems are studied. Moreover, the use of different control applications were also discussed to understand the model and dynamic complexity behind shake table systems. © 2017 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.
