Smart wound dressing with Arduino microcontroller

Wound dressing are necessity in wound management and quick healing. Commonly used dressings are simple and affordable, but healing may not result to optimum healing. Moisture must be maintained and should be replaced when moisture is no longer present. This paper designed a moisture monitoring wound...

This paper designed a moisture monitoring wound dressing using Arduino microcontroller since there is no cost effective, biocompatible, and mass manufacturable wound dressing that can monitor conditions continuously while keeping foreign pathogens out at the same time [1]. Using biocompatible materials to make sensors, physicians will able to track the status of the wound through one or many variables including temperature, pH, moisture level, oxygen level etc. The status could be accessed through mobile phones using wireless connectivity through Bluetooth. © 2018 IEEE. 2019-03-13T07:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/faculty_research/3928 info:doi/10.1109/HNICEM.2018.8666281 Faculty Research Work Animo Repository Wounds and injuries—Treatment Bandages and bandaging Intelligent sensors Moisture Electrical and Electronics
