Summary:This paper will show that Martin Heidegger's philosophy has some elements that could help identify the causes of the deterioration of the quality of the environment. Moreover, his philosophy proposes a way of life and certain values that can be considered environment-friendly. It is important to promote them because they are non-aggressive and offers lasting solution to our economic problems nowadays. It is an urgent need of our time to come up with a workable solution to the environmental problems and this paper is a noble response to this call.
