Nakajima, Masashi Nagata, Hiroyuki Funamizo, Naoyuki Wang, Xiaochang The treatment of higher load graywater (mixture of washing machine wastewater and kitchen sink wastewater), using submerged MBR and without energy requirement in permeate withdrawal was investigated. Appropriate organic loading rate supplied to the system was determine by monitoring the organic matter removal, and the fate of nitrogen and phosphorus in the permeate of the systems operated at HRT of 4, 8, 12, and 24 hours. An ultrafilter hollowfiber membrane system was used and it showed that at an HRT of 8 hours or longer, relatively stable permeate qualities is obtained compared to shortest HRT (4 hours). Furthermore, treatment of the mixture gave poor permeate quality compared to kitchen sink only which was previously investigated. 2007-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/faculty_research/5692 Faculty Research Work Animo Repository Sewage—Purification Membrane reactors Chemical Engineering
