In the Philippines, curriculum designers for pre-service programs constantly update program offerings to prepare student teachers for the ever growing complexities of classroom life. This case study attempts to examine the challenges student teachers face in their practicum settings in terms of pedagogical strategies (lesson design, implementation and evaluation), and classroom management. This case study initially describes the teacher education program of De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines.
