Description
Summary:The study was conducted to assess the bacterial micro-flora that can be found in the root nodules of Cycas riuminiana. 16s rRNA of the bacteria isolated was used for the identification of the isolates from the root nodules. Out of the 28 successfully sequenced isolates, 11 species of bacteria were isolated; Bacillus sp., Bradyrhizobium sp., Burkholderia sp., Dyella sp., Enterobacter sp., Labrys sp., Mesorhizobium sp., Methylosinus sp., Pseudomonas sp., Rhizobium sp., and Sphingomonas sp. Phylogenetic tree clustered each of the isolates that are closely related to each other with regards to their nucleotide differences. Microbial flora of the Subterranean and Exposed Root Nodules varies in time and habitat.
