Description
Summary:An information security laboratory is an invaluable tool used to introduce information security concepts and practices to students and professionals alike. Unfortunately, their flexibility is hampered by factors such as cost and time. The Epsilon system, which uses a collection of virtual machines in a place of real ones, is designed to address these issues. Besides minimizing cost and time, it is also essential that the system is able to reliably transmit and store different security event information that may occur. The Epsilon System achieves this through the Epsilon Protocol Suite. This protocol suite allows the system to make use of information from various sources such a Nework-Based Intrusion Detection System. In addition, the suite guarantees the reliable transmission of information to the appropriate components within the system. These protocols provide users with the functionality needed to deploy the Epsilon System in either a laboratory or production environment.
