Description
Summary:The main purpose of this research is to survey the personnel's spirituality towards the development of an enhanced Spiritual Formation Program (SFP) for Personnel of St. Mary's College of Meycauayan (SMCM) based on the Ignacian Core Values (ICV) of faith, excellence and service, of Venerable Ignacia del Espiritu Santo (VIDES). This was done by describing the Personnel's understanding and manifestations of the ICV, finding out the spiritual activities offered at SMCM, which helped the personnel in understanding the ICV, and formulating suggestions on how the existing SFP for Personnel can be enhanced to facililate the living out of the ICV. The study employed descriptive-analytical method, wherein survey, interview and document analysis were used to gather data. The subjects involved in the study were 149 teaching and non-teaching personnel of SMCM academic year 2007-2008. For a reliable description, interpretation and analysis of data drawn from the questionnaire, the statistical treatments of grid of frequency, percentage and ranking were applied. The study suggests the used of the existing Spiritual Formation Program for Personnel as well as the implementation of the spiritual activities planned by the school stated in the Five Year Development Plan of SMCM be improved to highlight the integration of the Ignacian Core Values, facilitate the personnel in living out these values, and develop the distinct Ignacian Marian character among the members of the SMCM community. Suggestions towards the development of an enhanced SFP for Personnel, based on the ICV of faith, service and excellence conclude this study.
