Description
Summary:This action research examined the dynamics of integrating social responsibility into management education at the De La Salle University Ramon V. del Rosario Sr. Graduate School of Business(DLSU RVR GSB) as a way of delivering its Lasallian core values and revitalize its Catholic mission in business management. Specifically, the action research looked at: (1) business social responsibility; (2) the school's value proposition for social responsibility in terms of how it defines its core values, vision mission, business education philosophy and how these are; embedded into curriculum and instruction, research, and community service; and (3) the issues and challenges encountered by DLSU RVR GSB in integrating a mission-driven social responsibility into its core operations as a school of management. A model for integrating social responsibility into management education at DLSU R VR GSB has been crafted and proposed for adoption and implementation. It is hoped that the model will help further create a mutually reinforcing and synergistic relationship which will give renewed strength to the school' s character and Lasallian education. Using action research, the study focused on narratives and reflective analysis and Appreciative Inquiry to validate quantitative data culled from survey questionnaires and analysis of documents.
