Participants were undergraduate and graduate psychology students of Ateneo de Manila University gathered through convenience sampling. They answered the Life Position Scale (Boholst, 2002) and the Hope Scale (Snyder, et al., 1991 ). Results showed that the relationship was significant and strong between willpower and the convictions one has for oneself. There was a significant but weak relationship between way power and the convictions we have for others.
