This paper described how a group-expressive-art approach in the context of the gay affirmative model was undertaken. The goals of the approach were to affirm personal integrity, develop and affirm a positive outlook on gay relationships, and increase awareness of current and other relationship models and long-term relationship options. Seven gay adolescent participants who were studying in Ateneo de Manila University attended seven art therapy sessions. Sessions include gay art and monologue appreciation, body template decoration, collage, sensory poetry, group art, clay modeling, and postcards making. Participants reported that doing art is fun and allowed them to express what words cannot. More importantly, they reported feeling good and happy with their sexuality, hopeful in gay relationships, and open to other relationship models and options. 2006-10-01T07:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/faculty_research/7578 Faculty Research Work Animo Repository Gay teenagers—Counseling of Group counseling for teenagers Art therapy for teenagers Psychology
