Summary:Pope Francis released an encyclical letter on fraternal and social friendship because he saw the need to remind everyone that we should look at our neighbour as brothers and sisters in Christ. A lot has been happening in today’s world now that COVID-19 has disrupt our way of life. It made us see what really matters the most. However, women are still largely missing even if violation against women are the most spread violation against human rights. Pope Francis’ authority and voice will be of help to protect the bride of the church. If Fratelli Tutti is about acknowledging the worth of every human person, then violence against women should also have a big attention in the church.
