Six (6) species of copepods were recovered namely, Mesocyclops aspericornis (Daday), Mesocyclops ogunnus Onabamiro (new records), Microcyclops sp., Eucyclops sp., Thermocyclops decipiens Keifer, and Thermocyclops sp.. Mesocyclops aspericornis, known as the most effective predator of Aedes aegypti first instar larvae in several countries, were found in ricefields and swamp in Bulacan, and in irrigation canal and river in Nueva Ecija. |
