The replacement of the liquid electrolyte system in dye-sensitized solar cells by polymer electrolyte systems has been the focus of studies because of the r advantages they bring over the former. Dye-sensitized solar cells employing polymer electrolyte systems have shown improvements in the long run. Poly (3, 4-thylnedioxythiophene)o (PEDOT) has been used as the polymer matrix in these type of systems due to its good conductive properties. Further, the incorporation of ion containing polymers improved the conductivity of the electrolyte film. The proposed study aims to fabricate dye sensitized solar cell utilizing an electrolyte system based from blends of PEDOT and κ-carageenan and to determine the influence of different polymer preparation techniques on the conductivity of the matrix. The polymer film will be prepared and the self-assembly of the matrix will be characterized by FT-IR, SEM, TEM and XRD. The conductivities and efficiencies of the cells will be sent to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory for testing. 2010-08-01T07:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/faculty_research/8415 Faculty Research Work Animo Repository Dye-sensitized solar cells Chemistry
