Passion and personality traits as determinants of entrepreneurial intention among senior high school students

Internal locus of control, need for achievement, risk-propensity, entrepreneurial alertness are dimensions of personality traits which lead a person to develop the entrepreneurial intention. The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of the personality traits and passion on the entrepreneurial intention. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. A total of 111 senior high school students were selected as respondents of the study. It was found out that personality traits had a positive effect on the entrepreneurial intention when taken in isolation. Passion was the only independent variable which significantly predicted entrepreneurial intention when personality traits and passion were regressed on Entrepreneurial Intention.
