This paper documented the transformation of the De La Salle University Library from being a traditional place for study to being a learning commons. It traced back the library's effort to transform its old-fashioned learning spaces into a sophisticated, state-of-the-art venue for learning, collaboration, and socialization and tracks its development in terms of facilities, programs, services, collections, networks/linkages, and the re-skilling of its librarians and staff to meet the demands of its users in response to the changing user needs and expectations. A comprehensive review of documents, newsletters and Web log posts was conducted to re-examine how the Library turned out to be the Learning Commons, one of the most preferred place in the campus, especially by the students, for study, leisure and other learning activies.
