The most fundamental challenge identified was that the awareness of the fact that everything is connected should be chosen by those who are trusted to design pastoral leadership formation within the Church to implement the above new paradigm. In line with the spirit of Laudato Si’, awareness should be understood as the opening of mind, heart, and will that will enable the development of new convictions, attitudes, and forms of life toward creating a new equilibrium.
