Description
Summary:Our LoRa and NearCloud based systems can gather and store data on the growth parameters of hydroponics-farmed black rice for proper management. These real-time monitoring sensors can provide accurate readings of nutrient contents (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), temperature, ph, and other essential information that can be shared to a bigger research community. This is a domestically ready system that enables detection of nutrient dilution and plant diseases, and empowers farmers to give immediate intervention. It allows remote farm management within the range of a LoRa signal. This study illustrates the use of wireless sensors and monitoring systems in hydroponics farming that serve as an efficient and low-cost tool for precise agricultural management.
