Flesh and Mortar utilizes the process of Offerings, a practice-based methodology dance artists Sarah Black-Frizell and Angie Pierre-Louis developed during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This work explores the process of sending and receiving images much like a conversation, encouraging a particular way of looking and responding to carefully constructed artifacts of lived experience. Flesh and Mortar focuses not on artistic production or expectation, but on an evolving relationship and the unpredictability of working intimately with sensitive materials. This work addresses ethical considerations in art making and the images share moments captured through sensitive documentation modes (Black). 2024-12-19T06:08:36Z text application/pdf https://archium.ateneo.edu/kk/vol1/iss40/16 info:doi/10.13185/1656-152x.2026 https://archium.ateneo.edu/context/kk/article/2026/viewcontent/KK_2040_2C_202023_2016_20Forum_20Kritika_20on_20Dancing_20Democracy_20in_20a_20Fractured_20World_20__20Black_Frizell_20and_20Pierre_Louis.pdf Kritika Kultura Archīum Ateneo ethics sensitive documentation modes sited practice maternal
