Summary:In Part 1 of this lecture, Bobby Guev discusses the Exodus narratives and draws parallels between the plight of the enslaved Israelites in the story and the realities of our present day. In Part 2, he delves deeper into the concept of 'fear' in the context of the story and the state of our country today. Speaker: Dr. Guevara is an associate professor in the Department of Theology and was the recipient of the 2012 Henry Lee Irwn Memorial Teacher Award. He earned a doctoral degree in Theology, with a concentration in Sacred Scriptures. He has taught courses on the Theology of Liberation, the Catholic social vision, and the Old Testament, and served as the Associate Dean for Student Formation. In these various capacities, he has facilitated the engagement of students with various marginalized groups and communities, especially among the Dumagats of Nueva Ecija.
