She received the 2010 Ralph White Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Psychological Association’s Peace Psychology Division. In 2016, she was recognized by the Psychological Association of the Philippines as their Outstanding Psychologist. She has published around 100 peer-reviewed academic papers on topics like Mindanao peacebuilding and a psychology of democratic transitions.
