With reference to Sigmund Freud’s theory of male homosexuality, the researchers looked for the occurrence of a dominant-mother and absent-father among homosexual male respondents’ parent-son relationship. Using a semi-structured interview the researchers found out that out of nine (9) self-professed gay students; three (3) respondents were identified to have poor father-son relationship; another three (3) respondents were identified to have absent-fathers all throughout their childhood; while three (3) respondents showed no significant problems regarding their father-son relationship. On the other hand, all of the respondents were identified to have close to very close mother-son relationship. 2014-05 Thesis NonPeerReviewed text http://thesis.dlsud.edu.ph/128/7/BalangueIzuharaRepicio%20...%20-%20FreudiantTheory.pdf Balangue, Joseph Daniel T. and Izuhara, Kaven Adam M. and Respicio, Gene Kenneth U.
