Description
Summary:Pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated from items such as bed pans, side tables, toilet flushes and bed sheets. The isolates were subjected to Gentamicin, Tobramycin, Tetracycline, Doxycycline, Nalidixic acid, Ciprofloxacin, Rifampin, Trimethoprim, Amikacin, Aztreonam, Imipenem, and Ceftriaxone to determine multidrug resistant. Results showed that Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from bed pan was resistant to Gentamicin, Imipenem, and Ceftriaxone which conclude that it is a multi-drug resistant strain.
