Description
Summary:The project study entitled Automated Lighting System Based on Illumination Level for Classrooms aims to demonstrate automation of lighting systems in buildings, to lessen/eliminate unwanted usage of lights, thus saving a considerable amount of energy and money. The proponents were able to construct a prototype that can easily be interfaced in lighting systems used in buildings. Using an MCU based circuit and a relay circuit, the proponents came up with the final prototype that met the requirements imposed by the proponents, adviser, and the panel. These requirements include: a) Microcontroller unit-based. b) Automated Switching of lights based on the provided schedules in classrooms. c) During operation, the brightness of the lights must vary according to the ambiance/level of brightness of the environment (classroom). d) Brightness of the operating device and the brightness of the room/s chosen must be in contrast/opposite. e) Interfaced to a load of 220Vac. f) Be user friendly.
