Description
Summary:This Windows based study was designed to develop a Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) on graph theory using Visual Basic 4.0 programming language. It utilizes most of Visual Basic objects like labels, texts, command buttons, checkboxes, images, shapes and others. Animation and graphics are also provided to enhance learning. Prototyping model was used as the method of the study. It contains five stages, which are the requirements gathering, quick design, build prototype, evaluate and refine requirements and engineering product. Results showed that the system created could not replace but rather supplement the usual classroom instruction. Graphics and animation complements instruction. The author recommends that more examples, sounds and animations be added in the software to improve its effectiveness. A study of digraphs would also complete the study of graph theory.
