The issues covered in this paper include the criteria of being a trustee-manager of business trusts, having a single entity as the trustee-manager, the level of protection granted to creditors of a trusteemanager, the distribution of dividends out of cash profits and the issue of not having limits on the gearing ratio for business trusts and rights of unitholders.
