Description
Summary:Although there were several studies that sought to understand the motivations behind travelling abroad for medical treatment, there was no statistically reliable study on the situation in Singapore. In order to address this gap in literature, a study was carried out amongst the foreign patients who patronised six hospitals from both private and public sectors in Singapore. Using a quantitative questionnaire as the research instrument and factor analysis, the resulting six categories of factors shed light on the selection criterion of foreign patients when they choose a healthcare provider from Singapore.
