總結: | In this letter, a class of wideband bandpass filters (BPFs) with short-circuited multi-mode resonators (MMRs) is proposed and designed by a synthesis approach. The MMRs are formed by n sections of cascaded transmission lines, which are all set to be one quarter wavelength long with respect to the center frequency of the passband. Short-ended stubs are then added at the two ends of the MMR as inductive coupling elements. For the filter design, a transfer function is derived to characterize the frequency response of the proposed BPF, and it is enforced to apply to the equal-ripple in-band response. As such, the impedance value for each section is determined once the specifications are given. With this method, design curves of different orders and ripple factors are provided to aid the design of a class of wideband BPFs. As a design example, a fifth-order ultra-wide filter is designed, fabricated and measured in the end. The experimental results verify the design approach. |
