To achieve our aim, we attempt to explore the various needs that participants of virtual community are trying to fulfill by examining the Uses and Gratification theory developed by Katz et al. [1973] as well as to identify any potential construct. Subsequently, we revise and develop a Questionnaire which investigates whether the satisfaction of a participant from collaborative communication in a virtual community is positively correlated to the independent variables such as cognitive, affective, personal integrative, social integrative, tension release and transactional needs and to determine if satisfaction will ensure the continuity of membership in the virtual community. 2008-09-24T07:42:55Z 2008-09-24T07:42:55Z 2007 2007 Final Year Project (FYP) http://hdl.handle.net/10356/10372 Nanyang Technological University application/pdf |
