Description
Summary:This project estimates 4 series, the marginal returns and average returns to labour and capital of 27 provinces in China. Marginal returns are estimated using a translog production function, whereas average returns uses observed data. The coefficients of variation across provinces is calculated for each of the series, and then examined over time. The results are that there is convergence of marginal productivity across provinces, and divergence in the observed actual returns to labour and capital.
