Summary:Includes Appendix: 1 script. This paper aims to provide a detailed insight to the various stages of production from conception to completion which culminated in the feature film script, Prison of the Mind. It will explain why selected themes are featured in the script and show how these themes reflect the reality of the Singapore society and education system of today. The paper will highlight the problems faced while writing the script and the methods used in overcoming these issues. The lessons learnt about script-writing in the making of this project will be outlined. This report will give an overview of other media that have dealt with similar issues and distinguish Prison of the Mind from these by contrast.
