Converting sewage sludge into bio-fertiliser
Three case studies were reviewed for the biological treatment of organic waste so as to convert it into fertiliser. The conversion is to stabilise the sewage sludge which may contain heavy metals and inorganic ions, volatiles and toxic organic compounds, and pathogen micro-organisms.
