Description
Summary:Throughout the world, documentary practices are growing in diversity and popularities. This project is an attempt to explore part of that world by examining the journey of documentary filmmakers in their relationship with audience, with regards to the notion of truth. The research is carried out by focus group discussions and extensive interviews with local filmmakers. Throughout this report, discussions of different viewpoints on documentary will be presented and audience’s views explored. To professional members of the media, the research serves as a consideration that they could reflect on their daily profession. For those who wish to start their careers in documentary filmmaking like me, hopefully they’ll find some perspectives to respond to their thoughts.
