Summary:To fill the gap between the transit services and expectations of commuters, an information system that can assist transit users in trip making and to enhance the usage of the systems is important. The Intelligent Traveller Information System (ITIS), aimed to deliver personalised and customised traveller information, is believed to be the next generation of traveller information system to achieve this objective. This study has investigated the transit path choice modelling framework and its application in an Internet-based ITIS.
