Summary: | This research project aims to quantify the nature of vehicular and passenger traffic generated at public transport terminals during peak hours and to determine travel behaviour characteristics of public transport users. The scope of this study is restricted to Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) stations. A self-complete mail-back survey was conducted on a sample of MRT users at ten selected stations to gather relevant data for analysis. A total of 15,980 survey questionnaires were distributed during the main survey, and 2,471 responses were received. Questionnaires were distributed at stations located in housing estates and the Central Business District. |
