Description
Summary:The isochronous channel reuse problem on the IEEE 802.6 DQDB networks is investigated in this study. In DQDB networks, isochronous traffic is handled by Pre-Arbitrated(PA) slots. These PA slots are requested by a station that wants to transmit to another downstream station. The slots are then generated by the head-end of the relevant bus, the data is received by the destination station and the slot then travels down to the sink at the other end of the bus.
