Description
Summary:Distributed Object computing is becoming very popular and is being used in a large number of applications. However, even the most popular distributed object architecture, CORBA, does not support real-time requirements. The purpose of this paper is to explore the current framework of CORBA and the various proposals to support distributed real-time applications. As part of this paper, we also present a real-time scheduler, which can be incorporated into the CORBA's ORB. Our solution consists in plugging a scheduling module at the client side to ensure end-to-end deadline compliance.
