本论文是对孙爱玲小说的一个专题研究。孙爱玲是新加坡的女作家，在 1970年代开始创作小说。通过访问，我发现孙爱玲不强求爱情，也不想被婚姻束缚着，她人格和经济独立，没必要背着婚姻的枷锁，更不需要依附男性。她欣赏没有爱情却能活出自我的女性。就此可见她具备现代女性意识的特质。此外，孙爱玲有着丰富的社会经验和人生阅历，堪称现代女性的典范。而孙爱玲小说有别于其他新加坡作家的地方，就在于它体现了鲜明的现代女性意识。现代女性意识的主题贯穿了孙爱玲小说本论文以现代女性意识为切入点，展开对孙爱玲小说的研究。主要通过小说里女性的处境来看她们如何适应和生存，由此可发掘具现代女性意识的女性形象。在这竞争激烈的社会里，她们的成就不逊色于男性，可兼顾家庭和事业，具备现代女性意识就是她们的生存之道。This dissertation is a study on Soon Ai Ling’s Chinese novels. Soon Ai Ling is a Singaporean Novelist who started writing in the 1970s. From the interview, I realize Soon Ai Ling is a woman who can live without courtship and marriage. She sees marriage as a burden. There is no reason for her to depend on a man as she has her own financial ability. Many years of work experience and her experience in life have shaped her into a modern woman. Modern women’s consciousness is the theme that differ her novels from other Singapore Chinese novels. The theme is illustrated by the living situation of the women who would never fail to survive the bad days and could outshine the men.
